Oh sorry, I forget this blog exists.
Since we last talked, I’ve started working full-time at Willamette Week (I have been on-again-off-again there in various roles basically since I moved here, but this is the first time it’s a full-time, on salary kinda deal). Amongst other things, this means I’m now the editor a bunch of the special sections. One of those editions, Best of Portland, just came out on Wednesday:
Best of Portland was already one of my favorite editions to write for — I keep an Evernote all year of ideas I have and things I see that won’t quite work as stories in and of themselves, but I think are fascinating and worthy of publication. Editing it is even better, because you get to see the lists and ideas everyone else has been keeping all year, and then craft it into one (sort of) cohesive piece.
Also, how good is that cover?
